White Sands Caravan Park is part of the White Sands Estate and Iron House Brewery is located on Tasman Highway in Four Mile Rocks, Tasmania. It is about 40 minutes north of Freycinet National Park and an hour and a half south of Mount William National Park – two Tasmanian destinations that are both certainly worth a look!
The estate offers a free campsite overlooking the beach, where travellers can stay for up to 48 hours. The site brings with it a few perks, such as an onsite brewery, swimming pool, and games room for the children.

White Sands Caravan Park was an unexpected last minute stop. We were trying to find accommodation up on the eastern beaches but with no success. It was pouring rain and we just needed to find somewhere, so found ourselves at White Sands Estate and Iron House Brewery… which ended up being a very cool spot to stay!
It was a free camp site (which is always a bonus!) that offered amazing views over the beach – our family spent ages watching people diving for crayfish and lobsters. There was a winery, brewery and distillery there, with gin, wine, vodka, brandy and obviously their own label of beer too! It was a nice spot to have dinner and drinks.
The camping was mixed in with self-sufficient apartments, and we were able to access the facilities which was awesome! This included the games room, laundry and pool, there were also toilets available down near the swimming pool but no showers.
The campground allowed travellers to stay for up to 48 hours. We stayed one night and found it to be a comfortable and convenient campground, especially considering it was a free stay!
