We had a quick one night stay at Wayatinah Lakeside Caravan Park and found the place to be beautiful, but also tired and overrun. There was a swimming pool and tennis court that both looked in need of some maintenance, and when we visited the toilets in the morning we found them quite dirty and poorly maintained.
Showers were available for one dollar, and there were laundry facilities too. There was power available although we didn’t use it, and the drinking water could be accessed from a tap that we drove to. The water wasn’t able to connect straight to the van though, which was a little annoying.
There was a dump point on site, but it was awkward to use as we had to ask for a key in order to dump our waste. In the end we decided to use a dump point elsewhere.
There were walking tracks, as well as a big lake that the caravan park backed onto. You could take the boat or kayak out in the lake, and have a spot of fishing. It was beautiful down there but we didn’t stay long enough to check it out properly.
Given the price of the sites and what we actually got, we didn’t feel it was worthwhile for us to hang around.
