Pinnarendi Station Stay and Cafe is a working cattle station turned homestay on the Savannah Way close to the Undara Lava Tubes. It’s located at 22971 Kennedy Highway in FortyMile QLD, about 160km south-west of Cairns (approx. 2.5hr drive).
The spacious station offers both powered and unpowered camping sites suitable for caravans, camper trailers, tents and the big rigs too. For families wanting a little more comfort, there’s also a cabin that sleeps up to four guests.

The Pinnarendi Station Stay and Cafe was a relaxed and spacious stopover run by a lovely farming family who had about 100 head of cattle on the station.
The owners were really friendly and served up amazing food in The Brick Oven Cafe – Ron made the pizzas and Nadine created the tasty cakes and homemade cookies. The coffee was awesome too!
The sites were big and spacious, and the clean air offered up an epic view of the night sky. Our family enjoyed cooking up dinner on the open fire pit before watching night creep in and reveal the brilliant blanket of stars that lay above us.
We spent three relaxing nights here, and it was definitely worth the visit!
