The Numeralla Rest Area was a good, free spot to stop in for a night. Just off the Monaro Highway, it was a convenient spot to pull in, if not a little bit noisy due to the close proximity to the road.
It was a large, mostly flat gravel area that offered up views of the surrounding valleys. It was a very large area that could easily fit lots of vehicles. We were able to take the dog, and the rest stop had two clean long drop toilets.
The afternoon sunset was spectacular and the morning fog and views were very pretty too. It was a simple, convenient spot to pull over at the end of the day when we were tired… plus it was free! We stayed one night, and wouldn’t see the point in staying any longer than this.
