Marion Bay Caravan Park is a bush camp set in the sleepy little coastal town of Marion Bay in South Australia. It can be found at 17 Willyama Drive, and is at the end of the Yorke Peninsula, a 285 kilometre drive from Adelaide.
This spot is tucked away in a natural green setting, a short walk from a sheltered beach, the Marion Bay jetty, and only five minutes drive from SA’s Innes National Park. The caravan park offers powered camping sites as well as one and two bedroom cabins.

When we visited South Australia we decided to go right down the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula, then work our way back up. That’s how we ended up at Marion Bay Caravan Park, which was right down at the tip of the peninsula.
We stayed here twice – once for a night, and then again for three nights.
This campsite was set in a sleepy little coastal town. It was a really beautiful area, and lay right on the border to the gorgeous 9,100 hectares of the Dhilba Guuranda-Innes National Park. There were heaps of walks and trails to do in the area, a sheltered beach within waking distance, a jetty for fishing, and a few local shops to check out, including a nice tavern.
The water at the park came from a desalination plant (they are very mindful of water use in this area), and it was fine. It did taste a bit different, but was safe to use.
The caravan park was very tidy, and had astro turf at the sites which was really nice to camp on. The toilet blocks were clean and tidy and there was good phone reception too (the park Wi-Fi would only be suitable for basic social media though). Some of the sites were quite small, but there was a variety of sized sites to choose from.
There was a few fun things for the kids to do too, like a giant chess game and playground. The owners were also really lovely.
All in all, a very relaxing and pretty spot to stop in.
