The Keppel Sands Caravan Park is located on the water at 38 Taylor Street in Keppel Sands, Queensland. It offers a total of 67 grass campsites, that are a mix of both powered and non-powered sites.
Keppel Sands is the southernmost town on the Capricorn Coast. The town is separated by Coorooman Creek from the larger towns of Emu Park and Yeppoon to the north. Keppel Sands is a charming village-style township centred on fishing and holiday making.

The Keppel Sands Caravan Park was located in a quiet coastal fishing town that definitely felt relaxing and like somewhere we could unwind and put our feet up. Whilst we did enjoy our time, we felt the cost charged was excessive given the facilities offered were either not available or outdated.
There was both powered and non-powered sites available and the park backed directly onto the water. There were a number of nice walks and bike tracks all around the location and it would only take 30-45 minutes to see all the attractions.
Keppel Sands had a couple of nice eating options on offer and a convenience shop for essential items. Whilst we did’t get a chance to wet the line there would definitely be a number of great spots to check out with a few boat ramps and coastal estuaries on offer.
If peace and quiet is up your alley and you are happy to pay premium costs, then this could be your next stop. For us it was probably a bit too sleepy and the cost left us feeling like we could find somewhere better next time.
