Kanyini Camp Review

Location: Little Swanport, TAS
Kanyini Camp is a very affordable farm stay on the east coat of Tasmania. It is about a 15 minutes drive inland from Boltons Beach, and about 10 minutes drive south of Little Swanport.
The campsite is only suitable for fully self-sufficient travellers as there is no water, power, toilets or showers. Pre-booking is required, and camping is only permitted in the summer season.
Kanyini Camp is a pretty place, and a convenient spot-over point for travellers heading to the east coast of Tasmania.

We stayed at Kanyini Camp on Australia Day with a big gathering of other full-time travelling family and had a really good couple of days there.
It was a basic – but super cheap! – campsite on a farm stay, with no power, water or amenities. Access to the site was via a short gravel road that would be fine for 2WD vehicles, you just need to be fully self-sufficient to stay and you must have pre-booked.
We were in a big group, so had a lot of people to keep us amused, aside from that though, there was not much to do around there. It was a peaceful and pretty spot, with a few little towns nearby to check out, but in all honesty, the campsite lent itself more to being a good, cheap place for an overnight stay on the way to the east coast.
Camping was only permitted here during the summer season.
