Julia Creek Caravan Park Review
Location: Julia Creek, QLD
Location: Julia Creek, QLD
Julia Creek Camping and Caravan Park is located on Julia Street in the town of Julia Creek, which has been fondly referred to as a ‘beautiful town with a big heart’. Julia Creek is a small country town smack bang in-between Cloncurry and Richmond – about 150km (an hour and a half drive) from either destination.
The Julia Creek Caravan Park has become well known for the bath houses that provide travellers with a relaxing dip whilst overlooking the outback.
Each bath house includes two artisan-inspired bathtubs with clawed feet, accompanying pebble bathmats and the option of adding a platter and drinks package to the bathing experience.

Julia Creek was a very quaint small country town, and we did enjoy the novelty of bathing in the clawed bath houses that overlooked the dusty outback.
The camping and caravan park along with all the amenities were kept in good condition, however we did find that the asphalt camp sites started to melt due to the heat, which then caused the asphalt to stick to our footwear.
There was a swimming pool across the road that was managed by the caravan park, however it only opened for limited times during the week.
Out favourite experiences were probably the local eateries. The Top Pub that offered great meals and cold beers, alongside Corrina’s Cafe which served up a brilliant breakfast and lunch. Overall, we would say it was an enjoyable location although would not stay more than a couple of days.
