The Burke and Wills Roadhouse was not in a town, but simply a roadhouse in a very remote area. The roadhouse provided a good stopover point for people travelling between Cloncurry and Normanton, or Julia Creek and Gregory. We stopped in for a night on our way north to Karumba, which was about three hours away.
The owners of this roadhouse took it over in 2019 and were very friendly and eager to please. The caravan park was pretty basic, but served as a good stopover on our travels.
We only needed one night stay here.
