Unfortunately we experienced a couple of wet days during our stay at the Big4 Mackay Blacks Beach Holiday Park so we were not able to appreciate it to its fullest.
The park was on beach frontage only minutes from Mackay CBD and was in a quiet residential area. On arrival it felt very clean and well maintained with large trees and bushes that provided good shade when needed.
There were multiple accomodation options from cabins to campsites and in various sizes. There was a pool area and a small kid’s water park which would be nice on a warm day. If you wanted to use cooking facilities they offered an undercover BBQ area alongside a camp kitchen next to the pool.
This holiday park allowed us to simply walk onto the beach, straight onto beautiful soft sands. Definitely worth a stay if you’re looking for a relaxing, peaceful location.
