We had an enjoyable stay with Barracrab Caravan Park and felt really welcomed on arrival by this family run and owned business.
We loved the beachfront views of the water and the beautiful scenery of the bushland. Whilst we were not able to land any fish from the creeks there was definitely life there with a large amount of baitfish in the area.
It was a large open caravan park with plenty of accomodation options on offer. There was restaurant and dining which was a typical bar meal with amazing chips and gravy that the kids of course loved. We were able to enjoy a few adult drinks from the bar which also had a communal fire pit in the evening to keep everyone warm and toasty.
Make sure you are carrying water prior to arrival as you are unable to fill up your van. There was water in park area but it was not potable, however there was access to a rain water tank where you could fill up your jerry cans. There was also an amenities block near reception which was old but clean. At the time of our visit there was also port-a-loos around the park.
We stayed four nights and felt this was enough time to appreciate the serenity but not get bored due to the parks remoteness – there is only so much time we can spend enjoying views.
Overall it was a lovely park with a friendly feel.
