Ayers Rock Resort Campground is a comfortable and convenient base for exploring the magical landscape that is the heartbeat of Australia.
The campground caters to all kinds of travellers – whether you’re wanting an air-conditioned cabin, a spot to hook up your caravan, camper trailer or motor home, or perhaps you just want to pitch your tent beneath one of the desert oaks. The campground has a swimming pool (an absolute treat on a scorching day!), a playground, and even a complimentary shuttle service for guests.

It had been our dream to visit the centre of Australia since before we can remember, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The Ayers Rock Resort Campground provided the perfect base for living this dream as we took in the magic of this spiritual spot.
The campsite had everything we could need. There was a swimming pool and playground, and the resort boasted bars, restaurants, an IGA, petrol station and more. There were free daily activities like guided walks and Indigenous bush yarns we could do too.
The campground was pretty pricey, but we were able to use the ‘pay two nights and stay three’ deal. We stayed a total of six nights and saw so much in the area during this time – we rode camels, explored the base of Uluru on Segways, and even took a helicopter flight over Uluru, Lake Amadeus and Kata Tjuta.
We read a lot of reviews warning us of security issues with local teenagers thieving from travellers at the campground, but we didn’t have any issues with this.
Overall it was a fabulous base for our adventure and we’d go back in a heartbeat.
